A RECENT "Bizarre Bazaar" event at St Katherines' Hall raised over £1100 for the Ledbury Refugee Support Group.
Items sold for as little as 10p and graduated up to £50 for a patio heater, and other attractions included rolls, cakes, croissants, tea, coffee and juices.
Event spokeswoman, Jan Long said: "The atmosphere was good humoured and people showed their generosity by helping the Bazaar event to raise over £1100 for the Ledbury Refugee support group which will go towards food and fuel for those areas where the aid is needed.
Richard Hadley, a member of the group said it was the first venture of its kind.
He added: "Certainly we would not have achieved this outstanding success without the support of all those who worked so hard to organise the event, together with the members of the public, local community and all those who continue to support this vitally important cause in Syria and other stricken areas."
