EMERGENCY services are on the scene after a crash on the A449 outside Ledbury this afternoon.
Initial reports indicate that the road is closed between Ledbury and Preston Cross, and the incident is described by the South Herefordshire sater neighbourhoods team as "serious".
The crash is said to involve a car and a lorry
Traffic is being urged to avoid the area.
An air ambulance and a doctor are amongst the resources that have been sent to the scene by West Mildlands Ambulance Service, which received the call at 3.25pm.
Fire crews from Ledbury, Hereford and Fownhope are in the scene, and shortly after 6pm, it was reported that two people had been freed from one of the vehicles.
