A WOMAN has been arrested for possession of class A drugs with intent to supply, after police found a “substantial” quantity of what is believed to be heroin.
Officers from the Warndon and Cathedral safer neighbourhood team executed a warrant at a property in Diglis, Worcester, on Wednesday (January 21) and made their discovery.
A 27-year-old woman was arrested and has since been released on bail until Sunday, March 22, while further enquiries are carried out.
Inspector Sarah Corteen, of West Mercia Police, said “Drugs can have a hugely detrimental impact on our communities and will not be tolerated in Worcester.
“This successful operation sends a clear message that we are continuing to crack down on drug offences.
“We would encourage anyone who has any information about drugs activity to contact police on 101.”
Members of the public can also report crimes anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
