As the great debate rages on about whether gay couples can marry, and conservative MP David Davies claims that ‘most parents don’t want a gay child’, it seems one thing is not said enough.
What does it matter to anyone if somebody is gay?
If one person loves another, whether it’s a man who loves a woman, a woman who loves a woman or a man who loves a man, why shouldn’t they be able to declare their love and get married in the setting of their choice?
Many won’t want to marry in a church or religious setting, but for those who have a faith and want to, why should they be denied it?
The church has recently demonstrated just how far behind the times it is by its decision to not allow women to be Bishops, so it’s no surprise they aren’t generally a fan of gay marriage.
To me it seems simple; accept people for who they are and who they love and deal with it, as the chances are it won’t impact your life in any harmful way.
But that’s just what I think - write your opinions and vote on the poll.
