TWO men had a lucky escape this morning after being rescued from the River Wye in Hereford.
Emergency services were called near to the old bridge at around 2am.
"Crews joined firefighters and police to locate two persons who had reportedly fallen into the river," said Ambulance press officer Steve Parry.
"Two men, believed to be in their 20s, were rescued from the waters edge.
"Ambulance crews treated the two patients for hypothermia before conveying them to Hereford County Hospital for further assessment and treatment."
