STAFF and residents at a county care home donned 1940s garb to celebrate the 70th anniversary of VE Day.
There were land girls, factory girls, forces sweethearts among those taking part and they enjoyed singing Roll out the Barrel, and We'll Meet Again.
The day brought back memories of the feelings of relief of no more air raids and blackouts and the return of loved ones for residents.
