IF paddling your own canoe isn’t for you, you can still enjoy the tranquillity of the river by taking the family on a river cruise from Symonds Yat East.
From young to old, everyone can enjoy a 45-minute cruise up a beautiful stretch of the river, complete with a guide pointing out sights of interest, including the tulip tree, reputed to be more than 300 years old, at St Dubricius Church.
At £5.50 per adult, £3 per child and under-threes going free, this is an inexpensive way to get a taste of life on the river. With so much else to do in Symonds Yat, including the Jubilee Maze, Wye Valley Butterfly Park, Symonds Yat West Leisure Park, it’s just one highlight of a great day out.
