NORTHERN Ireland-based Hereford breeders dominated Hereford Cattle Society's spring sale.
Father and son John and William McMordie, from Ballygowan in County Down, topped the sale with their 22 month-old-bull, Solpoll 1 KitKat by Panmure 1 Henry, weighing 860 kilograms.
Following closely behind was their 23-month-old Solpoll 1 Karate Kid, also by “Henry” which weighed 935 kilograms.
A half-brother to “Karate Kid” sold for export to Spain and another was the Reserve Champion at the 2012 Society Sale.
One of the youngest bulls in the sale, 13-month-old Solpoll 1 Lamborghini, weighing 640 kgs, was sold to an Anglesey-based buyer.
