HEREFORDSHIRE hedge-layers will be out to defend the county’s reputation at next month’s National Hedge Laying Championships.
The county has fared well in recent years, and for those looking to enter the annual competition – now in its 36th year – this year’s event will be held in Grantham, Lincolnshire, on October 25.
Organised by the National Hedge Laying Society, the championships are expected to feature more than 100 competitors competing in eight regional laying styles.
The competition will run alongside a country show featuring tractor and trailer tours, children’s activities and vintage farming equipment.
