Good level of interest at show

THE larger entry at Hereford Market’s spring show and sale of 126 Hereford cross store cattle sired by registered Hereford Bulls sold to a good level of interest, report Hereford Market Auctioneers, with prices well up on last year.

Ledbury Young Farmers were the overall winners at the county fencing competition held last weekend, at Benhall Farm, Wilton, Ross-on-Wye, by kind permission of Mr and Mrs Simon Brewer and family. Points from this competition go towards the Herefordshire Federation of Young Farmers’ Clubs county rally, which this year will be held at at Hall Farm, Leinthall Earls, on Saturday, May 17. Worcester Blondes hit the headline

A Blonde d’Aquitaine dam from a herd in Northampton topped the prices for females at the the British Blonde Cattle Society's Spring Show and Sale in Worcester Market when it was bought by a pedigree breeder from Tenbury Wells.
