CRASWALL to represent Wales in world tug of war championships in Sweden!

An outstanding season for the club starting with both the junior and senior YFC teams getting through to the YFC area finals at the Three Counties Show and the junior team succeeding in going through to the YFC National finals at Tenbury.

During the year the club also competed successfully in the Welsh Tug of War Association League taking part in competitions all over Wales ending with the Welsh Championships at Carmarthen in July where the junior men's team get gold medals and the opportunity to represent Wales at the British and Irish Championships at Llandrindod and qualifying for the World Championships in Sweden. At the British and Irish Championships on August 13, out of six teams, and in an all Welsh final, they gain 1st place.

With the opportunity to take the junior men's team to represent Wales in the World Championships in Sweden on September 10th and 11th, they will, under the supervision of coaches Julian Lloyd and Viv Howells, be training hard and fundraising for the trip.

If you can help with sponsorship the team will be at Longtown Show on Saturday, and are having a local Tractor Road Run on August 28, and an evening auction at the Cornwall Arms on Bank Holiday Monday, August 29. For more information contact Julian Lloyd 07977 514272 or Tom Watkins 07580 052017.
