TWO Leominster teenagers' dreams of helping others in Borneo are a little closer to coming true.
Karo Jagiellowicz and Jemma Morgan held a fun day at the Bell Inn, Leominster, and raised £380.42 towards their target of £4,000 each.
Young local musicians, Jamie-Ash Townsend, Myles Gordon and Cora Jones, kept the inside crowd entertained whilst the girls manned stalls and games in the garden.
All money made on the day goes directly to their attempt to go to the Asian island for a month, where they will be completing many activities such as building schools and planting trees to help the rural communities there.
Other fundraising events will take place over the next nine months including the launch of a Borneo Biking Challenge tomorrow (August 28).
