A GROUP of Scouts will be attempting a truck pull this Sunday at the historic World War Two airfield in Shobdon.
The attempt is to help local Scouts raise funds for a trip to the world Scout Jamborette in Haarlem, Holland.
During their time in Haarlem they will be meeting other young people from around the world, engaging in activities and learning about new cultures.
The Truck Pull will be taking place from 10:30am but members of the public are invited from 10am.
While the young people attempt to pull a truck 150 metres along the taxi-way, there will be the opportunity for supporters to enter a “Guess the time” competition and a raffle.
The group are still open for sponsorship for this event, so if you’d like to help you can contact Craig Whitefoot (South Marches District Leader and event organiser) on 07946 287420 or email c.whitefoot@btinternet.com.
