TWO short films which highlight the importance of choice and control to people with disabilities in Herefordshire will be shown for the first time next month.
The films are the result of a successful creative partnership between Leominster-based Services for Independent Living (SIL) and the Rural Media Company.
Made with some of SIL’s service users, the films will be shown in public for the first time at a special launch event on Friday May 1.
The programme for the event will include a presentation from Helen Coombes, director adult wellbeing with Herefordshire Council, David Farnsworth, executive lead nurse with Herefordshire Clinical Commissioning Group and Nathan Williams from the Rural Media Company.
There will also be a question and answer session giving an opportunity for guests to ask questions about the topics raised in the presentations.
A light lunch will be served after the launch, which starts at 11am.
To attend, contact Shelagh Callaghan at SIL on 01568 616653 or email shelagh.callaghan@s4il.co.uk to secure your place.
Details of the Hereford City venue will be given at the time of booking, which needs to be no later than Thursday April 23.
