A HEREFORD singer and songwriter will have a cause close to her heart when she holds a fundraising night in the city next month.

Natalie Holman, 23, will be raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support at a gig in Saxtys, in memory of her nan, Elizabeth Howells.

Miss Holman, from Whitecross, will be performing a mix of classic covers and songs from her debut EP which is close to being released.

She said: "My nan sadly passed away aged 76 from lung cancer. I was very young at the time but I remember how amazing the Macmillan nurses were with her. They provided respite for my mum and gramps and they helped me and mum and dad get through it all together as well.

"They are quite a big charity but I wanted to do my bit and do it in memory of my nan and hope to make everyone proud."

Miss Holman will perform with her band on the evening and there will be a raffle which local businesses have donated prizes for.

The event takes place at Saxtys on Friday May 29. Tickets can be bought by calling 01432 353664, visiting Natalie's Facebook page facebook.com/NatalieHolmanofficial or on the door for £5.
