THE Hub at St Peter's Centre was again buzzing with excitement as the relaunch of the food assembly took place on September 7.
Over 100 people turned out to support local producers and lovers of local food.
With music, games and craft and a café this is the start of a weekly Thursday slot for the Golden Valley Food Assembly which runs from 4.30 to 6.30pm.
Everyone else seemed to enjoy the tasters, music and the community library that was open as well and was looking forward to the next week.
A food assembly is a bit like a cross between online shopping and a farmer's market and the producers get over 80% of revenue from it.
As well as being a place to purchase very local and high-quality food it is a social event that allows people to come together. To get involved please email gvfoodassembly@gmail.com or phone 01981 550043/550857.
