DURING their year in office at the Herefordshire Golf Club, Jo Ware and Melvyn Lea both chose Close House as their captain's charity and between them raised over £2200.
This terrific sum was raised by holding various events, mainly golf related, at the course in Wormsley, near Weobley.
Close House is a youth centre in Hereford. Their aim is to help young people aged 11-24 to become mature, be helpful and grow hungry for a full life by providing safe, supportive and inspiring spaces, both at their centre and at other clubs and projects across the city.
