MEMBERS of the Hereford Guild of Guides took part in a refresher day, entitled 'hidden gems of Hereford', on April 26 in preparation of the new season of city tours, which started on May 6.
The group visited the Mediaeval Hall of the Bishop's Palace, the Old Mayor's Parlour in Church Street, the former Conservative Club in East Street, the Booth Hall with its hammer-beam roof, St Peter's Church and the Mediaeval Barn in the Cathedral Close.
The guides lead daily walks, which leave the main entrance of Hereford Cathedral at 11.30am on weekdays and 2.30pm on Sundays.
Tickets, £4 for adults, £1 for children may be obtained from the cathedral shop or from the guide if the shop is closed.
