HEREFORD based learning disability newsletter, Our News Our Views, has received a certificate of appreciation from Barrs Court School for helping them with work experience for their students.
Barrs Court is a Hereford based school for young people with special educational needs the newsletter team have involved students in all aspects of producing the newsletter, from writing articles to devising competitions, designing illustrations and getting the publication ready for print.
Team member Peter Crum said "We weren't expecting this award, it was a big surprise. We are ecstatic because it's nice to be noticed for the work we've done with the students from Barrs Court School".
Lisa Perkins, also part of the team, said "It's inspired us to carry on working hard in the future because we are really proud of the work we've have done with the students".
The team are planning to continue their partnership with the school's work experience programme in the future.
