BROMYARD Symphonic Wind Band have just completed another busy Christmas season after playing carols in the main street of Bromyard on Christmas Eve, raising an excellent sum for the charity Deaf Direct.

The band played for two hours outside the Falcon Inn and Co-op and were appreciated by passers-by.

Afterwards they enjoyed warming refreshment inside the Falcon.

The season started with the Bromyard lights switch-on, and continued with a gala concert held on December 9 to an appreciative capacity audience in the Falcon Hotel, Bromyard. This was compered by the band’s conductor and was a light-hearted celebration of Christmas.

The band will soon be celebrating its 35th year of existence. With over 40 playing members, their conductor, David Thomas, is most proud of the band’s achievements. The band has helped raise over £85,000 for charities since its inception.
