ON December 11 a very special carol service took place in Clifford Church.
Several families brought children who placed the nativity figures in the crib during the singing of traditional carols.
The service was led by Tony Charles, Jean Lindesay played the organ and Pat Hammond conducted the Monday Choir.
Bible readings were given by Candia Compton, Sheila Layton and Anthony Williams (churchwarden).
After the blessing Roger Beetham led the singing of the Boars Head Carol while carrying the boars head pictured which was decorated with herbs and oranges.
Finally everybody enjoyed mulled wine and sausage rolls.
