THERE was a good attendance of 26 members at the society's meeting on November 2.
The main event of the evening was a display and talk by Grace Davies on the subject of Peace.
There was a wide variety of material including post-war correspondence, stamps containing the word peace, and an outstanding display featuring the Nobel Prize winners for peace. The president, Nick Nelson, on behalf of the members thanked Grace Davies for a most enjoyable and unusual display, enhanced by her knowledge of the many variations on the subject of peace. He then presented Grace with one of the special covers issued to celebrate the society's recent 50th anniversary celebrations.
The society meets at St Martins Parish Centre, Ross Road, Hereford at 7.30pm on the first Wednesday of each month. New members welcome.
