TREF-Y-CLAWDD rugby team played against Cwmcarn RFC recently and after a good game the Cwmcarn RFC captain presented the Trefy players with a special shirt printed with the name Stew and the number eight.

The shirt was in memory of Knighton rugby player Stewart Middleton who died following an accident while on holiday in Thailand.

It was presented to Trefy captain Danny Birch and Nick Davies a friend of Stew's who was on holiday with him when he died.

Trefy player Seb Barrett said "Thank you very much to Cwmcarn RFC on a good game of rugby and presenting the club with the shirt. This means a lot to the club and is very much appreciated by all".

Dan Evans replied by saying "It's and absolute pleasure lads, always a great game with you boys, good luck for the rest of your fixtures and we shall see you down our place for a beer".
