CINEMAGOERS in Goodrich will be pleased to hear that 50 new chairs worth £6,000 have been delivered to Goodrich Village Hall in plenty of time for the new season of Flicks in the Sticks which starts on Thursday, September 29.
They are part of a grant from the British Film Institute called the Neighbourhood Cinema Equipment Fund and have just been delivered to the hall.
"We are very pleased to receive the chairs," says chairman Ken Gort. "We hope that they will add to the enjoyment of Flicks in the Sticks, which has become a very popular monthly event at Goodrich Village Hall and of course we will be able to use them for other functions. We are very grateful to the British Film Institute for their generous support."
Films will be shown on the last Thursday of the month commencing at 7.30pm.
Upcoming films include Bridge of Spies ( 12A) on Thursday, September 29, Dad's Army (U) on October 27 and Eddie the Eagle (PG) on November 24.
