LAST Sunday saw yet another successful and action packed fun day provided by Presteigne Little People's Playgroup at the football club in Presteigne.

Opened by the Mayor, James Tennant-Eyles, the weather stayed fine long enough for everyone to take advantage of the 'all you can eat' barbecue laid on by Leon Albercasis and Annmarie Roberts of The Salt Dog and Peter Mace and Jemima Alexander of The Ducks Nest, as well as enjoy the numerous activities, stalls and bouncy castles.

In addition to the barbecue, an under 8s football tournament was held throughout the day, with the winning team, Church Stretton, being presented with The Salty Dog Shield and all players enjoying a free burger after the match.

Local business kindly donated raffle prizes which were gratefully accepted and helped contribute to an outstanding fundraising event which saw a total of over £1000 raised.
