THIS years Knighton Show and Carnival princess will be Gracie Fowkes.
Gracie will be accompanied on her float by attendants Yasmin Davies and Freya Evans both aged eight and Corey Franklin and Mason Morgan aged seven.
Gracie, who is 23-years-old, went to Knighton Primary school and then John Beddoes school and sixth form before working as a cook at Dunfield House near Kington and a administration assistant at Arrow Medical where she still works.
Gracie said "I have always wanted to be Knighton's carnival princess and I am really looking forward to the day when I know I will feel really special". Gracie and her attendants will lead the two carnival processions on their float at the Knighton Show and Carnival on August 27.
