THE Friends of Knighton Primary School had planned a big ground force day to tidy up and paint the playground at Knighton Primary School.
Bad weather meant that a lot of the painting planned has had to be put on hold but a few members of the group still turned up on the day.
The four members who turned up were busy planting all the plants donated to the school by Deb Edwards and her partner Mick Duffill.
Deb was thanked by the Friends after turning up with a car load of plants.
The friends also painting parts of the playground buildings and fixtures in the dry and put up some coloured decorations on the school fence using wool.
The group also received donations from Ron and Doreen Lewis who gave a tray of plants, paint was donated by Knighton Builder's Merchants, Tuffins Mid Counties Coop and Prince and Pugh, and paint brushes were donated by Tuffins Mid Counties Coop and Bradford's.
