THE friends of St Cynllo's church in Llangunllo held a race night recently in Llangunllo community hall and raised money for the church as well as £400 for The British Heart Foundation.
The money was presented to cardiac nurse Julie Havard-Evans by members of the friends group.
Julie thanked the friends for the donation and told them about some of the work she does locally including visiting the local livestock market in Knighton to carry out blood pressure checks and give advice and caring for those suffering from heart disease and those other heart related illnesses.
