LOCAL man Ian Handley loaded his trailer with cartons of nutritional milk and honey drinks and set of for Caldicot in Monmouthshire where the goods were transferred to a container bound for Syria to help the plight of the refugees.
The pallets containing boxes of drinks loads had been donated by BAM whose extensive range of healthy whole milk that is rich in nutrients and vitamins such as calcium, vitamin B2 and vitamin B12 and is designed to provide natural whole milk, honey and fruit or cocoa and because the drinks contains no refined sugar, artificial flavours, colourings or preservatives which makes it suitable for vegetarians.
Ian commented that this aid is a practical demonstration of giving which will benefit people of all ages who have little variety in their diets due to constraints within the camps in Syria.
He said "We are very grateful to BAM and many other organisations that have donated items to help this humanitarian crisis."
