HEREFORDSHIRE children enjoyed trying on police hats, helmets and handcuffs during a special visit from the police this week.
Reception pupils from Hereford Cathedral Junior School got to sit in a police car, hear the sirens and see the blue flashing lights during a visit from officers DC Nikki Webb and PC Chris Lea.
Junior School headmaster Chris Wright said: "The children were really excited to find out more about the role of the police within our community. After trying on the hats and sitting in the police car – we now have lots of pupils who want to be police officers when they grow up!"
