THE Old Railway Line Garden Centre in Three Cocks, between Brecon and Hay-on-Wye, is hosting a Macmillan coffee morning and fundraising day on September 25 to boost their impressive fundraising efforts so far this year.

Manager, Katie Eckley said; "We are looking forward to our annual Macmillan fundraising day which we always host on the national 'Macmillan World's Biggest Coffee Morning' event. We invite our customers to come along and choose from a selection of delicious, freshly baked cakes and a hot drink in our coffee shop before taking part in a number of fun fundraising activities around the garden centre. We have some fantastic prizes up for grabs through a raffle, 'guess the cake weight' and our infamous 'wellie throwing challenge'.

"We hope lots of people can join us and add to the amazing £1000 we have raised so far through our sponsored 35-mile bike ride from Rhayader to Aberystwyth and 'sponsored slim' where the participating 10 team members have collectively lost over four stone! We have set ourselves an optimistic £2000 fundraising total for Macmillan this year which we hope we can achieve with your help."
