ANOTHER successful event was held in Ledbury to showcase the town's excellent organisations and the activities they offer to people around the region.

Everything from archery to rugby and football, from the police, fire and ambulance services, the ornithological society and the naturalists club, Ledbury Food Group, the Rotary and Probus clubs, charity clubs such as Marie Curie, the Visually Impaired, Evergreen, Children's Help, and many others including the Stromstadt Twinning Association, whose members Pauline and Hilary were doing a static bike ride to Sweden.

The Ledbury Library Development Group was doing a brisk trade in books and there was a rush to sign up for their murder mystery night. Much in evidence were representatives from Ledbury Town Council, Ledbury Amateur Dramatic Society and wonderful entertainment from local musicians. Ledbury Choral Society and the Silurian Morris Dancers. All of Ledbury's iconic buildings were opened and utilised for this hugely successful event which brought together numerous clubs and societies and hundreds of visitors. One of the organising team, Griff Holliday said the event has grown in stature each year and he was delighted with the turnout. The overall triumph of this year's community day, which is now firmly on the town's calendar of events, could not have been achieved without the energetic enthusiasm of all those who took part.
