ALMELEY WI raises £500 for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
On afternoon of April 19, Almeley WI held a 'Jazz in the afternoon and tea' event in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Research .The Springfield Jazz Band entertained guests with a wonderful medley of jazz tunes and songs whilst everyone enjoyed a delicious 'eat as much as you like' afternoon tea. Together with the raffle the WI raised £500 which will be presented to Marie Curie at the WI's May meeting to be held at Almeley Village Hall at 7.30pm on May 21.
