ON April 26, the Very Rev Peter Haynes celebrated his 90th birthday.
A large congregation in Hereford Cathedral joined in singing Happy Birthday before the Cathedral Eucharist and there was cake and wine for all.
Peter was Dean of Hereford from1982-92 and has for several years lived in retirement at Hereford, where he still assists in services at the cathedral.
At 90 he still drives a sports car and in celebration of this, family and friends arranged a display of Aston Martins outside the main door of the cathedral after the service.
Peter loved it!
