TEAM members from the Grandstand Hungry Horse pub in Hereford were accompanied by Santa himself as they delivered gifts to children in Hereford County Hospital recently.

The team at the pub in Grandstand Road have been collecting presents from customers for children who are spending time in hospital this festive period. Since the collection began in October, gifts including books, board games, soft toys, arts and crafts and fancy dress, have been generously donated by customers and local businesses the Entertainer, B & M Homes Stores and Munchkins.

Yesterday four team members from the Grandstand visited the children’s ward at Hereford County Hospital with the Hungry Horse mascot Super Horse, Santa and one of Santa’s elves. The group met children and their families, handing out the gifts and spreading festive cheer as they went.

Marc McGuigan, business unit director for Hungry Horse, said: “At Hungry Horse we pride ourselves in being family friendly and part of the local community.

“I would like to thank all of our customers and the local businesses in Hereford for their generous donations and I hope that the visit from Super Horse, Santa and the team from the Grandstand with all their gifts brought a bit of festive cheer to the children and their families at the hospital. We wish them all well.”
