THE 1st Hereford (YMCA) Scout Troop held their annual inter-patrol Masterchef competition at Scouts Corner, Eign Road, recently and local councillor Jim Kenyon came along to judge the dishes.
Each patrol had to prepare a three-course meal (the main course being a vegetable curry) and invite Jim and friend Jon Stanard to sample the delights at a candlelit table. Jim commented that he had "thoroughly enjoyed the evening with a high standard of cuisine and team-work. The different curries varied in temperature and one strawberry pavlova was delicious."
The winners of the Masterchef Showdown Cup on the night went to Panther Patrol.
