A HAY-on-Wye company is expanding its workforce by as many as 50.
Packaging Coordinators Inc (PCI) has announced it will be employing an extra 50 staff at its Hay-on-Wye site over the next six months following recent expansion.
The company, formally AndersonBrecon UK, is a leading global supplier of pharmaceutical commercial packaging solutions and clinical trials services.
The latest recruitment drive comes after a successful apprenticeship enrolment programme and follows the placement of four undergraduates from Swansea University.
Since April 2013 PCI has recruited 40 staff members within the life sciences sector, making itself as one of the principal employers within the industry in Wales.
In the last two years PCI has opened a storage and distribution centre in Treforest and a speciality pharmaceuticals packaging suite in Talgarth.
Hywel Lucas, director of human resources and organisation development at PCI, said the jobs span from packaging operations through to quality assurance, engineering and project management.
