FLOODING is causing huge problems on the roads in Herefordshire this morning.

An accident has already been reported on the A438 at Trumpet, the B4348 between Clehonger and Peterchurch is closed.

The A465 at Stoke Lacy is also blocked, while the Eign Brook next to Texaco on Ledbury Road, Hereford, and the little bridge on Burcott Road are both flooded.

The Merton Meadow car park is 80 per cent under water, while over a foot of water has hit the Madley to Bridge Sollers Road and there is a lot of surface water on the A449 Ross-on-Wye to Much Marcle road.

The A49 at Kenchester is partially flooded, but the road south of Hereford at Grafton is passable with care.
