MALVERN Concert Club’s 110th season opens at 7.30pm on September 20 at Malvern Theatres with a return visit from the Endellion String Quartet.
The evening combines Haydn’s Lark Quartet and Beethoven’s Rasumovsky Op 59 No 2 , with the exciting and interesting Second Quartet of Bartok.
The Nash Ensemble performs in October and The Fibonacci Sequence in November, while Paul Lewis returns in January with an all-Schubert programme and The Doric Quartet play in Malvern in March.
The final concert in May is a new work commissioned by Malvern Concert Club with the Kay Trust.
Ian Venables’ The Song of the Severn celebrates Worcestershire poets in a song cycle for baritone, piano and string quartet.
