BBC Radio 1 DJ Chris Moyles could be coming to Hereford next week following his last-ever breakfast show.

Play Nightclub has confirmed that it will be hosting the afterparty on Friday, September 14, and is hopeful that the self-proclaimed “saviour of Radio 1” will make an appearance.

“We have got Comedy Dave booked and we have been asked if we have a private area for the team, which we have,” said Play general manager Dan Guerche.

“We have also been asked for six hotel rooms on the night and to provide a Grand Voyager to transport them from London to Hereford.

“I can’t confirm that Chris Moyles is coming, but it looks likely.” The Chris Moyles Show began in 2004 and went on to become Radio 1’s longest-running breakfast show.

However, in July it was announced that the 38-year-old would be leaving and would be replaced by Nick Grimshaw.

Dave Vitty has worked with Chris for longer than any other team member and is currently the show’s “director of comedy”.
