THE Floors 2 Go insignia at the Hereford United ground in Edgar Street may have to go if a retrospective planning application is rejected.
It has emerged that the work undertaken on behalf of the Birmingham-based flooring company and a sponsor of the club went ahead without planning permission.
An application was submitted in time but was deferred so the work went ahead anyway and the company was asked to make another bid retrospectively. The painting work was completed in September but did not go without a hitch because some of the paint was blown on to cars parked in the surrounding area.
Planners are due to make a decision in the next few weeks and, if they reject the retrospective application, action could be taken to have the painting removed.
