HALL - Burley Gate Village Hall committee will meet in the hall at 8pm on June 21 to discuss topics including the recent jubilee celebrations and progress of the proposals to introduce telephone and broadband connections to the hall. There are vacancies on the committee for anyone with an interest in the hall, and for representatives of the churches at Ocle Pychard and Ullingswick.
COUNCILS - The parish councils for Ocle Pychard Group and Much Cowarne Group will meet in Burley Gate Village Hall at 7.30pm on Tuesday. At the parish and annual meetings in May, Sarah Rogers was appointed as chairman, supported by Coun Simon Wells.
Although only councillors were present, parishioners are welcome to attend.
LUNCH - Bookings are being taken for the village lunch on July 22, at 12.30pm for 1pm at Bishop’s Frome Village Hall. Adults £13.50, under-13s £5.50. Proceeds from the lunch and an auction of promises will go to Much Cowarne Church. Promises will be very welcome.
