HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY - The next meeting is on June 21 at 7.30pm in the Masonic Hall, Headbrook. The speaker is John Fannin on getting the best from a cool greenhouse.
Kington GALA DAY - Princesses Lucy-Jane O’Connell and Alexandra Pickersgill and prince Ryan Jones were chosen by raffle during a special assembly at Kington Primary School. The three children will lead the procession on Saturday. The procession to the main events on the recreation ground will leave Meads Surgery at 1.30pm.
KINGTON LIONS - Lions will once again be providing hot and cold food and refreshments at Kington Festival Gala Day at the Recreation Ground on Saturday. Later in the afternoon, the duck race will take place in the River Arrow and ducks will be on sale for £1 each on the day. Proceeds support people in the local area.
CLASSIC - On July 8, the second Kington Classic Sportive will take place on a 74-mile circular route through beautiful countryside from Kington via Rhayader. For more information, visit kingtonlions.org.
