Welsh Water has today (Thursday) announced it will be spending £1billion on infrastructure projects in Herefordshire, Wales and Deeside over the next three years.
The water provider, which has a base on Broomy Hill in Hereford, will be rebuilding 22 of its of water and wastewater treatment works and carrying out a major upgrade of pipes and sewers.
The investment is expected to create 1,500 jobs in the construction industry.
