TRANQUILLO, featuring flautist Sarah Waycott and pianist Hannah Mitchell, will be the next guests of Wye Valley Music on Saturday, April 14 at 7.30pm in St Briavels Church.
Performing, and often premiering, new music and arrangements, this vibrant and innovative duo, pictured right, shed new light on the flute and piano combination through their lively and captivating performances.
Their growing reputation has seen them perform at venues such as Gloucester and Brecon Cathedrals and the Wales Millenium Centre. Upcoming appearances are scheduled for St Martin-in-the-Fields, London, and the Welsh Proms at St David’s Hall, Cardiff.
Their programme at St Briavels will include sonatas by Bach, Poulenc and Taktakishvili, the Fantaisie by Hue, In Ireland, a work by Hamilton Harty, Three American Pieces by Foss and three pieces by Rebecca Mitchell.
Admission at the door is £12 for non-members, £10 for members and £2 for students.
