A HEREFORD fish and chip shop is currently closed following a fire last night.
Three fire engines were called to the Crispy Cod in Union Street shortly before 9.10pm.
Crews used a hose reel and a main jet to extinguish the flames before ventilating the premises.
A lot of smoke damage was caused to the building and is currently not open for business.
It is believed that an electrical fault in the dishwasher may have caused the fire.
