ISSUES facing Herefordshire rail commuters were discussed at a special event in Ledbury recently.
Over a dozen rail users and industry experts gathered for a rail summit at Ledbury Railway station at the weekend along with north Herefordshire MP Bill Wiggin.
Top of the agenda were the new First Great Western franchise and alternative proposals for improving capacity in Herefordshire - including the possibility of resurrecting previously abandoned lines.
"I am very grateful to all those who took the trouble to attend our discussions at Ledbury. Many contributed expert opinions, or extensive firsthand experience, and all of us are determined to improve this vital public transport service," said Mr Wiggin.
