I NORMALLY upload my blog on a Thursday morning and was going to write about little Ellis Jones going to the USA to have his operation - thanks to the unbelievable generosity from the general public in raising the £45,000 needed.

It is a fantastic story and every single one of you who donated your money should be really proud of yourself.

But after last night's capitulation at Gillingham, I feel duty bound to put up this week's blog now and give my take on the current shambles at Hereford United.

I still cannot believe what happened last night.

How on earth can a team lose a game after being 4-2 up with 10 minutes to go?

You can blame the referee all day long in why he didn't send off the goalkeeper when he brought down Tom Barkhuizen when it was 4-4, but he didn't let in the five goals and lose such a commanding lead.

I was tweeting updates from the game for the Hereford Times and I think my keyboard was happy for some respite come full-time.

It was a crazy game which had everything.

But sadly, I could see it coming as Hereford have history of throwing away leads.

In my view, the team have become an embarassment.

Simple as that.

Ever since Graham Turner left, the club has just gone downhill where, if they don't make a change quickly, will end up in the abyss of non-league football.

Games are running out.

The Bulls are above the drop zone in League Two on goal difference, but both Dagenham and Northampton (the two teams that currently occupy the relegation zone) have games in hand.

Hereford have 13 games left now to save their season - 13 cup finals.

I have no doubt that Jamie Pitman has the club at the heart (he was a good, committed player for us) but in my opinion his time as manager has run out.

There is no going back for him now.

There is talk of some supporters boycotting the game on Saturday and to be honest with you, I don't blame them.

I will be there, but only because I'm a season ticket holder and if I don't go, the team, will probably win.

I won't hold my breath though, considering we've only won seven home games in the last two seasons.

I - like many other supporters - have spent thousands of pounds of hard earned money supporting the Bulls up and down the country.

There have been some great highlights - the conference play-off final win, winning at Brentford to secure promotion to League One, plus some great FA Cup moments, but sadly, nowadays it's just one disappointment after another.

If Pitman goes, then who should replace him?

Good question.

I can only see Gary Peters being that man and in my opinion, he was brought in to eventually replace Pitman anyway.

Other than Peters, I can only see someone like Martin Allen coming in, but Barnet did the same last season and he left the club in the lurch after only three games.

I hate my club being in the situation that it currently finds itself in, but if it carries on the way it is, I can only see things getting worse.
