THE official flavour of Herefordshire sweet has been chosen and will soon be on sale at shops and visitor attractions across the county.
Sue and Daniel Pearce, owners and founders of Tudor Sweets in Ross-on-Wye, invited residents to suggest what they thought the flavour should be.
Judges settled on “Herefordshire Cider with Rosie” a name suggested by Carolyn Price of Ross-on-Wye who wins £50 to spend in the town plus a jar of the sweets.
A UK sweet manufacturer has already produced the cider apple flavour sweet in green and rosy red colours that are indicative of the name.
