A DISTRICT nurse has admitted stealing tens of thousands of pounds from an elderly patient.
Christine Roberts, of Booth Gardens, Hay-on-Wye, also admitted perverting the course of justice when the she appeared at Worcester Crown Court this week.
The 49-year-old was accused of accepting a gift of £70,000 from a woman in her 80s and stealing more than £30,000 from her between 2010 and 2011 before asking the victim to withdraw the complaint.
A charge of misconduct in public office against Roberts was withdrawn.
She will be sentenced next month.
